Fantasy Football 2024 rankings, primers, cheat sheets, streamers for Week 4 for PPR, standard leagues

Now, with three games under their belt, it’s time to make potentially difficult decisions about starting Fantasy Football with underperforming veterans. Players like Justin Herbert, D’Andre Swift, Brandon Aiyuk, Travis Kelce and Dalton Schultz haven’t accomplished much in 2024, leaving managers to wonder if they should include a Week 4 Fantasy football strategy. Anthony Richardson’s struggles have negatively impacted Pittman, who was a top-25 Fantasy player a year ago and is currently the WR78. With Indianapolis facing a Pittsburgh defense that allowed both the fewest points and yards, it’s clear what to do with Pittman in the Week 4 Fantasy Football WR rankings. Should the other players mentioned above suffer the same fate and should their Week 4 Fantasy Football projections be lowered? Before you book your fantasy football lineups, be sure to check out Week 4’s fantasy football rankings, powered by SportsLine’s advanced computer model.

When it comes to player rankings, the SportsLine model has been beating human fantasy football experts for the past few seasons, especially when there were large differences in the rankings. Over the course of a season, this can literally mean the difference between winning the league or going home empty-handed.

This same model has a proven track record of providing fantasy football tips, including passing players like AJ Brown, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, and Jahmyr Gibbs. Anyone who bet on such players had a chance to win the championship title.

Now, the model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has revealed its fantasy football rankings for Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season. To see them, head over to SportsLine now.

The best fantasy football picks for week four

One surprise in Week 4: The model is fading Lions winger Jameson Williams, who started in 81% of CBS Sports PPR leagues last week after missing the first two weeks of the season. Williams had 10 catches for 200 yards and a touchdown in the first two weeks and also rushed for 28 yards, but he had a bad week against the Cardinals in Week 3.

Williams played a season-low 71% of snaps and was targeted just three times, catching one pass for nine yards. He also had one carry in which he lost seven yards and finished with two scrimmage yards on two touches. Now he’ll face a Seahawks defense that has attempted just 397 passes through the first three weeks (best in the league), and the model places him outside the top 40 wide receivers in week four.

Another curveball: The model has the edge on Bears tight end Cole Kmet. After just four yards in Week 1 and 27 yards in Week 2, Kmet broke out last Sunday with 10-97-1 stats. Caleb Williams had by far the best game of his professional career as Chicago shifted its passing attack to shorter and intermediate routes to RBs and TEs rather than shooting downfield to WRs. In Week 3 (21), the bears had more breakout targets than in the first two weeks combined (19), with Kmet being the main benefactor.

Now he will have to face a Rams defense that has allowed him the fourth-most receiving yards by tight ends, as well as the fourth-most fantasy points. Los Angeles has given up three passing touchdowns in consecutive games and there will be plenty of opportunities to make big plays as no defense is giving up more yards per play (6.8) than the Rams. Kmet has finished in the top eight in fantasy points each of the last two seasons, and this week the model ranked him in the top eight at the position. How to set your fantasy football rankings in week four

The model also calls for a surprising quarterback who appears in less than half of CBS Sports PPR leagues to be in the top 10 of fantasy football rankings in week four. This choice can mean the difference between winning big or going home with nothing. See the entire Week 4 fantasy football model rankings for the PPR and standard leagues here.
